Has anyone had any experience with weight gain (or loss) on the birth control pill Yasmin?

Basically, I chose an IUD because I didnt want hormones running wild in my body because of eating issues and depression, only thing is I recently got pregnant on the IUD, so as you can understand to me IUDs = evil right now. Anyway, I'll be trying out Yasmin instead as I've heard it has less side effects. Can anyone confirm this? In particular, depression and weight are the side effects I'd like to run a mile from.Has anyone had any experience with weight gain (or loss) on the birth control pill Yasmin?
I experienced major bloating and gain weight from Yasmin. I also had really bad breakouts on my face. But that's just me though.

Women react differently to birth control so maybe you can try taking it for 6 months or so and see if its a good fit for you.Has anyone had any experience with weight gain (or loss) on the birth control pill Yasmin?
before i start this is my hubbies profile, yes there r many side effects with this pill i suffer from endometriouis and fibroids, the doctors put me on yasmin last january, in order to shrink the lining of my womb,i lasted 29 days i had violent mood swings painful throbin legs at nite breast pain you name it.not to mention the weight! as i said i have the for mentioned so i don,t need the pill for contrception ,endometrious is a hormone inbalance so i have now opted for merina coil instead. why not try microgynon .
I had weight gain, suffered bad with cramp in my leg alot and suffered from bad mood swings. Yasmin is a combined pill to help with spots aswell, but it didn't help mine!

So I came off it.
I'm on Yasmin. Have been since last April.

I have experienced a bit of weight loss, but I am not completely sure it is entirely due the the pill. I have felt a loss in appetite, but again, it could be some other things going on in my life right now.

I haven't had any problems as far as mood or depression goes. I'm a fairly placid person, keeping a steady mood for days, just rolling with the punches. I haven't felt moody or depressed.

I experienced a slight weight gain from the pill during the first 2 months I was on it. I talked to my doctor and she told me to wait another couple of months and if it continued, we'd try something else. But after that second month, everything was fine.
Hi, I've been on Yasmiin for 6 months, and it's the first pill I haven't had any side effects with.

My weight has more or less stayed the same as well, most of all I haven't had water retention and bloating, like so many other pills cause.

I have Bi-polar depression, so was relieved that it did'nt change my moods.

Basically, if your doctor perscribes it, and your in good health give it a go. Every pill works differently in each person. Try and keep a diary to see how its working out for you. It might tke a few months for your system to get used to it.

Hope I could help, Good Luck x
