Scared Shitless: Loss of Bowel Control?

I am not aware of consciously controlling my bowel movements. When I feel the call of nature I can resist for awhile before I must actually go and defecate, for example, when you have to wait on a line to get your opportunity to use the bathroom. I thought that the feeling of having to empty your bowels was an involuntary response that comes whenever it comes. So how can a sudden fright cause someone, a young healthy person (ex: a soldier in battle) to **** themself - unless they already had to go to the bathroom in the first place?Scared Shitless: Loss of Bowel Control?
There is always residue/waste in the bowels; most people carry as much as 8-10 pounds on a daily basis and in times of extreme stress the sphincter relaxes and the bowels let loose which is why many people defecate right at the point of death.Scared Shitless: Loss of Bowel Control?
that is NORMAL.......
it is to do with your bodies flight or fight method.

Our ingrained reaction to danger, will we run away?or will we fight it?

You are a flight so your body evacuates stuff it doesnt need to carry so that you can run faster, it is shedding excess weight.

thankyou and good night
