Im on Ortho Try cyclen birth control pill, i have been on it for about a year and notice some hair loss. I was on ortho try cyclen lo be4.. should i go back to the Lo?? and is my Hair loss from the Birth control? should i switch to a total diff brith control? You know i had the same problem,i was losing alot of hair on the pill.My dr said i was allergic to it and changed the pill i was on.It seems to stop after he changed it.Birth Control Pills Relate to Hair loss?
Hair loss is usually from thyroid problems, not the pill.





Get to your doctor to get your thyroid test. Try to get it done during your period week because the pill can effect the test results.
It happened to me, but it was within a month or so, not after a year.Also, low iron can make your hair fall out
yes, a few people do have side effects of losing hair. If you go to their main website they have a list of side effects. If the other birth control had fewer side effects then i would recommend you going back on that one, but also tell your doctor about the hair loss. Continue to watch and see how your body reacts to the pills if it doesnt seem to change after switching you could have a serious issue and see your primary doctor for medication for hair growth.
