Why does the loss of control have such a profound effect on us?

Because we are ego-driven and we perceive it as a threat to our well-being.Why does the loss of control have such a profound effect on us?
We maintain our security by being in control of our immediate environment and body. When we lose that control, we feel vulnerable and this provokes our fight or flight response. Adrenalin floods our system and, if undirected, will give us a bad case of the shakes and severe weakness as our body reacts to it. We can even become nauseous. Why does the loss of control have such a profound effect on us?
It only does this if we are deluded enough to see control as a possibility.

Love and blessings Don
....because you are a control freak!
